3D Printing

Description

3D Printing is an additive manufacturing process that creates a physical object from a digital design. The process works by laying down thin layers of material in the form of liquid or powdered plastic, metal or cement, and then fusing the layers together.  Our 3D printer prints plastic only, we do not offer metal or any other materials at this point in time.

Step 1:  in the process is to create a build file which is also known as an STL file so that your product can be printed.  The basic file creation fee of $150 is to create this STL file for you.  You will be able to look it over and turn it around in any way that you wish to make sure all looks good.  You can then can decide on whether you want us to print it or go somewhere else to print it.  All you need to do is upload your part or design into the workspace and click buy.  In the notes at check out you can provide us with any special instructions or details along with sizing.  There are some standards to things so depending on what you upload for us to program we will be in touch with you to make sure the sizing and all details are clearly worked out in a detailed work proof before your file is created.

Our fee: is based on 1 object to create.  If it takes multiple objects to create as an assembly to a bigger object or assembly it will be a fee of $150 per object or item.  The $150 fee is based on an average cost to create a file for simple items.  If your object is too complex or needing extra engineering to create an added fee may be assessed.  We will not charge any added fees without speaking to you first to get your authorization for the added fee and an explanation as to why.  The size and if you want multiple colors in your build file may also effect the price on building your file for future creation.

Printing your file:  We can print your file in our printer no problem.  Our max print size is roughly 7″x7″x7″ but we have sources to print larger if your final build is bigger.  Once we have created your file, we will know how much material it will take to print your file.  That is how we calculate the cost your printing your job for you.  Until we know the meters of filament to print your job, we will not be able to accurately tell you the cost of printing your file.

Colors: We can only print 1 color in our machine but you can choose a few colors: White, Black, Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, Pink, Purple and Grey.  We cannot provide a color change on a part mid part printing.  Each part would have to be a dedicated color.

Depending on the complexity or any questions we may have to create your file the standard turn around time is 3-5 days to create your STL file for 3D Printing.
